You have been divided into two tribes based on two regions of former California- Napa Valley and the Cascade Range.
(Please allow 5-10 minutes for everyone to have tribe access.)
This game will endure a number of twists and turns outside of the traditional Survivor format. The game is not limited to the twists below, but most of the game's flavor will come from the following variances.
In order to keep things fast-paced and interesting, the pre-merge phase of this game will alternate between tribal immunity challenges and individual immunity challenges. So for nearly half of your pre-merge time, you will be fighting for individual immunity against your own tribe.
For the first six rounds, every round someone will be selected to go to Death Valley. At Death Valley, you will face temptation from Satan similar to that of Jesus Christ. There are six boxes, five of which contain something that could help you and the sixth being something that could hurt you. Each person who visits Death Valley will be required to select a prize. You cannot visit Death Valley more than once.
If the challenge is tribal, the winning team will vote for one of their players to go to Death Valley. If it is individual, the person who placed first will choose someone to go (they have the option of sending themselves).
When you fall in this game, you will be sent to Purgatory. Similar to Redemption Island, you will fight your way through a series of battles in order to return at the merge. There is no contact allowed between those at Purgatory and those in the game. Your placement will not be determined by how far you get at Purgatory, but by when you were voted out. Only those who make it back into the game will have their placement altered.
