I love Perry and I don't think that he'd make a bad winner, but his argument about 'if' this and 'if' that is always one that ticks me off. As Colby said in Australian Outback, "if ifs and buts were candies and nuts we'd all have a merry Christmas."
Yes, if they had signed on to change their votes at the Final 11 Luca would be out, but they didn't...because they suck (at least Wyatt does for promising Tess he would and then flaking out.) Furthermore, if Luca hadn't signed on several minutes before the deadline it would have tied and he would have been out there... I guess you could say he benefitted from caring enough to sign on at the end of that round to see the results of the vote, which Perry and Wyatt obviously couldn't be bothered to do. Would Stephenie surviving because, say Beau, forgot to change his vote constitute an asterisks by her gameplay if she made it to the end? No.
Luca benefitted from Wyatt being an awful player who didn't sign on when he told Tess he would. If you've ever done well in a game, no matter how good of a player you are, you will always benefit somewhat from the mistakes and bad judgment calls of other players.
And I think it's completely blasphemous to even consider putting Luca on Season 5 instead of All Stars. He has been a major player in this game and regardless of whether or not Perry is an All Star I firmly believe that Luca has put his heart and soul into this game and deserves a spot too. You would break his heart after all he's put forth to do well in this game.
And before any Favorites jump on me, it's been very clearly stated that next season is a chance at redemption and a second opportunity for players whose individual games weren't considered All Star calibre. I'm not making a statement on anyone's capability to play well.
